Michael Knox was an Australian Trade Commissioner serving in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia before returning to Australia in 1988. He served as the President of the Economic Society of Australia (Qld) Inc. from 2009 to 2013. And he currently works as the Director of Strategy and Chief Economist for Morgans Financial Limited. He produces an economic newsletter that is widely read and he is particularly good at making complicated economic topics easy to understand. He knows more about US economic, political and military history than most Americans. And like many people of late he has spent an inordinate amount of time studying inflation. In his upcoming address to the Denver Association of Business Economists he will talk about why Inflation is misery, what causes inflation and what can be done about it.

Note that this event is occurring later in the afternoon on a Tuesday as opposed to our normal lunchtime on a Wednesday to accommodate Michael's time zone difference as he will be presenting from Sydney, Australia.
