This position is an operational position for QCEW technical professionals. The position uses analytical and evaluative methods in performing the full range of assignments. The position exists to perform professional data research and analysis in the production of the QCEW Program employment and wage data. The primary duties of this position include validating findings and drawing conclusions from large amounts of data and the preparation of narrative comments to accompany the publication of industry data for use by a wide variety of users.

This work unit exists to produce the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) report mandated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The report summarizes employment, total wages, taxable wages, and contributions information for approximately 180,000 employers subject to Colorado Unemployment Insurance laws under the Colorado Employment Security Act, publishes a variety of reports about the Colorado economy, and provides guidance and professional advice for other LMI program state operations and other data users.
