Allison will discuss what cryptocurrency is, what its value is to the economy, use cases for private industries and government, and where cryptocurrency may be going in the future.

Allison Reichel is a driven and dedicated economist with experience using economic theory and forecasting to build strategies that help companies in the digital asset space stay ahead of the industry and adapt to the rapidly changing economic environment. Her focus is centered around creating impactful strategies and innovative research on the role of past monetary systems and the evolution of money now, with emphasis on its future place in the global financial world. Prior to joining Core Scientific, Allison worked as an independent consultant and strategist for both traditional finance hedge funds and crypto funds for a prominent digital asset media company, where she monitored and analyzed real-time data and monetary policy to forecast macro trends and their impact on the digital asset space. Allison has also spent time as a consultant to the Enterprise Analysis Unit of the World Bank Group, where she conducted research on international development and poverty solutions.

Allison is expected to receive her Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University in 2023, with a focus on Experimental Economics/Game Theory, and Industrial Organization. In her spare time, Allison enjoys volunteering in her local community to help end homelessness.
