DABE is honored to welcome Professor Suisheng Zhao to discuss China's unique role in modern world history and global economics. Professor Zhao is an expert on how Xi JinPing's political authority drives the nation's national interests and how this power is used to strategically position China globally.
Suisheng Zhao is Professor and Director of the Center for China-US Cooperation at Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver. He is the author and editor of more than ten books on China's economy, institutions, development, politics, foreign policy, and regional coordination, including The Dragon Roars Back: Transformational Leaders and Dynamics of Chinese Foreign Policy (Stanford University Press, 2022). He received his Ph.D. degree in political science from the University of California-San Diego, M.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri and BA and M.A. degrees in economics from Peking University.
